D: Gained only 3k in the only 3xp event for forever, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. In instant gratification mode, I'd say 'this wasn't fair, I have internet access for only 8PM-4AM on weekdays and all day on weekends and this event should have been held on the weekend when there would be more people playing, which thus makes the timing most logical.'
But I'll rest my pikes and thank AdminPwn for even holding this test/fanservice at all as there are other players who may have benefited much from this.
I agree with Aurneiros. Although I wasn't able to take full advantage of this event, I was able to get in about thirty minutes. So even then, that's 3x EXP I was able to get then. To the future for more events as such! Hooyah!
This was also a good thing for us doctors. With lots of people going out and getting themselves killed or injured I was able to make quite a bit of money off of this.
Gained a full level + about 100k exp from this! Awesome idea, Neil! Hope it helped you resolve some issues, since I imagine there will be a much larger number of people playing in the future. Very good foresight and a nice treat for your loyal players; especially for those of us who support you by keeping our GMs through all this.
To the people saying he should have held this on the weekend: I'm sure he had a good reason for running it when he did. Perhaps he didn't want the server to crash, due to an overwhelming number of people logged in at one time. Whatever his reasoning, please don't start bitching when he does something as generous as giving everybody a handout while asking nothing in return except that we take it and have a good time with it. If you didn't mean to sound like you're bitching, then why say anything about it at all? Don't whine when you think he's not doing enough to improve the game, and then complain when he goes out of his way to do something like this. Lord knows we don't want Neil to rage quit on us again XD
That was friggin awesome!! And the mission DAAMMMNNN they are awesome!!! Big brother mission is my favorite one! I didnt not expect the size of that maniac when i loaded into the section he was in I ran screaming hahaha!!! Great job man!!
Damn... an outpost attack alone got me a full 75000exp!!!!!! And an extra 75000exp over the next 2 hours of single player grinding... if only my armour was strong enough to take that last hit i would have finished the Big Brother mission. Wentm from level 16 at 2% exp to level 20 with 45% exp in only two hours!!! i would have been around level 22 if i hadn't died twice.
just a quick question... do you guys, here on the blog, think that this will happen like a once a week "happy hours" thing, or a monthly or bi-monthly thing with the hours he already us???

Most MMO's do extra EXP events once per year. Or at least thats what I've seen. I hope he does this monthly... or bi-monthly or whatever. I wasn't able to participate in this event much.

I think he should fix full screen, if your in full screen and you want to go to the menu by pressing escape, it exits full screen mode which makes the screen go black for like five seconds while your still getting attacked by zombies
yes, but if i pause using the map or invintory, i have to wait 10 seconds, exit full screen, then wait 10 more seconds to open the menu and it seems like a lot of steps just to change the settings. But thank you anyway
Fullscreen is an aquired taste. You seem to like it, so keep using it man- I don't much care for it right now... I might use it later tho.

Clearing cache is important because DF is a Browser based game, your internet cache is stored data encored while surfing the web, so the more info in your cache the slower it processes new data, which slows DF to a standstill at times. Clearing cache regularly helps speed up over all speed of your browser, in turn the speed of browser based games like DF ;)
I heard baracading was coming, could this be the update for it. Baracding would be a large amount of new things having to be added to the server...Just a thought.
I highly doubt it's cading, since he'd have to add interiors first, which is going to take a ridiculously long time. It probably has something to do with fixing bugs that occur when large amounts of people are on at one time, since that's why he held the event in the first place. Or, it could be one of the several other things he said he was going to try to get done this year.
Bottom line, whatever he's doing is going to make the game better in the long run, so just be patient. Hell, it could take another year for him to finish all he wants to accomplish, but when it's finally done it's gonna be the best damn game on the web and well worth the wait. What he needs right now is support and encouragement, but don't baby him or he'll get lazy again, lmao!
Please for the love of god FIX THE LAGG!!!! I keep dieing because of the lagg! Fix it or send us compensation! Like a random gift or bonus exp! Everyone here please support this idea if your tired of lagg and you being killed cause of it.
@Raguel Well said. Admin's working hard, and I feel proud to have went and bought my first set of 500 credits (I don't like the cheat-status GM gives you) merely a few hours before you said that.
@tj2169 - There is only lag on MP, mostly due to people with slow internet and the synch issues caused by using a browser to play DF, play on SP and it should be fine, also if it still lags play on low settings.
Since most players don't switch to a new computer ever time they log in, most people at least know how bad the ping and connection lag is on their computer.... just learn to fight with the lag instead of against it... I play on hichever of the 9 computers are avalible at my college's library, and they all control about the same. I know my lag allows me to shotgun charge a horde because of attack animation delay on the library's computers. My character may not always stop walking after I let go of a key, but he may lag warp in the direction I. Want to go. The lag keeps me from reloading sometimes, but it can glitch my shotgun into shooting 2 to 5 blast in one shot. Once I even glitched on this burning zed corpse that landed on top of a street corspe and got to loot it 5 times, got. 5 master crafted scalpels. Just learn your systems people, it'll help you in the long run... only those weird sythe arm zombies and pukes are a problem for me.... and the Titan zombies, but those are bosses. I don't renture out far enough to encounter bossed often.

Try delelting your browser history/getting a new one (Chrome) or reinstalling UNTIY PLAYER.
If none of those work check you internet settings and internet speed itself. Surely i shouldnt have to tell you how to do those things...

Yeah, I play on SP do to the lag. It's 100x better. And if you can't fight a boss on SP, then you need some work... It's easier for me on SP.

@BrianMMXII I'm not sure how but I set a setting (Google Chrome) that clears the cache when I close the browser. It helps shit tons lol.
