i seen so many bugs and i still see they haven't been fixed. okay everyone who plays df if you see a bug fix please post here so we all know the development of the game. not like admin would have the time to post the bugs he fixed. though they probably are mission bugs but not specific.

Hey guys wat outpost do u think i should be in? I'm a lvl 22 doctor with flak jacket a dilmar ps, a mc kris, a beta 8000, a mc sl8 and i have a good amount of money but ever since i get to lvl 22 it seems like im looting medical items that only heals 3% and 9% when administered. I'm currently at Dogg's Stockade right now.

ReplyDeleteI was doing the mission at Dogg's stockade. I looted the van to get the package. My inventory was full. So I opened my inventory. Upon closing my inventory an error accrued (This almost never happens)that made me have to refresh the page. When I returned to the previously mentioned van it was no longer lootable. I was unable to complete the mission because of this. Please fix this bug.

ReplyDeleteyeah like when i was looting i looted. a shovel mced. one block down left of fort and then i tried to take a picture of it with this google chrome cam and press this button where the page becomes a picture and then i lost the loot and when i went back i looted the whole block without any shovel. then iremebered wher i was looting it at. went there and it wasn't lootable any more.

You are way behind schedule from where the hardcore DF community expects you to be. if shit is taking so long then just hire and extra hand or two. Its time to stop screwing around, get the damned missions running already. And start on interior and bericadeing. And then finally you can update the unity. But you are lagging hard. if you keep this pace up the game wont be fully playable till 2012.

Well, the new mission is meh to me.... I mean, I don't think that it's worth 20kish dollars... I can loot EZ for WAY more. That's just me. Other's will be doing it for the EXP, but as I have all my stat's that I want... I see no need to waste time on the missions.... at least, more than I need to. Still though, great job on these missions Admin. They look great, and I haven't really noticed any major bugs. They truly did live up to, and go beyond, the old missions of 2D. Much harder, and much, MUCH more rewarding.

ReplyDelete@ tennerkist- you know what man, admin is tired of all that BS, "oh you have a family, dont work yourself so hard", he wants to know what people think of the game; not constantly get his ass kissed. I love this game, i feel admin just needs to step it up a bit; maybe even hire an extra hand for a month or so to really boost productivity. But i wanna see this game blow up huge and be something game developers have to battle with, as apposed to just crushing.

ReplyDeleteI'm getting kinda sick of Spider missions. I don't like spiders. They're super fast and always on my ass. And a horde of them is just peachy-keen. I wouldn't mind exterminating hundreds of tendrils, though.

ReplyDeleteIf Neil hired some more people to work on this game it would be a lot better and probably 100% done by now. Then they could start working on part 3. Admin is just money hungry. He has proved it multiple times.

@UndeadSnake Well, he DID try to have other people work on the game. But they ran off with half the money and left without doing any work. I don't think Admin would like to repeat the experience. Also, liking the 2 new missions Admin.

ReplyDeleteYes, got to put a little more into the game if you intend a lot of people to really catch on. I personaly have tried to get over 12 friends to play with me, and they all get bored by lvl 20. So its time to realease the full game already, and if you have to penny up 1 or 2 months pay, then so be it; YOUR GAME WILL EXPLODE! this game is so sick, it just needs to get finished, and the key thing me and snake are saying is that it needs to get done just a little faster; or at the very least put some extra resources into the pot to boost production.

ReplyDelete@tannerkist, FREAKSHOW is actually just doing as admin asked which was to not take any pity on him or cut him any slack in relation to slow updates. Admin has specifically said and I quote:

So in simple terms FREAKSHOW is just encouraging admin along. And for the record, FREAKSHOW's comments are by far the most constructive and critical yet least offensive of anyone elses on this blog so far.
If Admin finished his game, and put the base down he would be able to slow down on the essential content and start releasing smaller, money making updates.Aka -new costumes that are only available for credits.

-make 100 credits actually worth something instead of trying to force a 40$ price tag on everything useful.

1. Your prices are a tad high. $100 for a vulcan (close enough to it) is a lot. The game's only in beta dude, and its just one item, sure its good but what game charges 100 bucks for an item? Dude I can go out and buy a finished game like cod or n4s for less than that and theys much more polished than beta version of this game. Not that I'm saying anything bad about DF here just the prices rant rant I know but its true.
Further to this, if you dropped the price, heres food for thought, maybe twice as many could afford it, possibly more. Imagine instead of 1000 people paying $100 you get 3000 people willing to pay $50.
2. Needs way more items bro - try having more than one weapon that is similar in strength - just adds more variety.
3. don't delete comments like this from the forums - why have mods troll to delete negative comments thats completely stupid.
Ok thats it sorry rant rant i know but i just had to get it out.
The AIs were cool on the spider mission. Nice of you to let them leave the house and stretch there legs.

ReplyDeleteWe shouldn't pity admin, he needs to do shit. Thats for sure. But at the same time, anyone who says he isn't doing it fast enough is also wrong. He is doing it alone. And hes progressing very well compared to ever before. Therefore, he is doing awesome and we should just support him. That means not being an ass either. If you think he's "money hungry" then go spend your money somewhere else. He deserves every penny he gets as does almost any game developer that makes a good game.

It's time to take it up a notch. I've seen one manned games do amazing things, I'm not letting him off the hook because he's one dude. He's one clearly talented dude, so now he needs to show it.

As for the pop ups, you must remember it is a browser based game not a disc based one.

ReplyDeleteOK I'm posting can't help it. OK I agree with Froggyman all the way, and in that 10 second wait you can get mauled easily by a group of zeds. You should change that wait to either no wait to 5 seconds.

ReplyDeleteJust a little idea for missions, Admin/Neil should add in missions where you just kill a certain amount of total infected in an area, sort of like in 2D, instead of hunting down 1 certain kind of infected in a huge group of them :b

You are not suppose to use it to get away from zed! Thats why you get instant aggro when you un-pause.
BUT big time yes on the 2D's lobby option. I loved that!
I loved the lobby and the ability to play with friends. But it was sort of gay in 2D with zombies in different locations.

For Example At certain levels would unlock a new Outpost to transport to...
Level 5= Dogg's Stockade
Level 15= Precinct 13
Level 25= Fort Pastor
or you could pay 5000 to transport.

AdminPwn good job on the game but remember not every one gets over 5k a month. though if you have kids then that is something else 5k would be just enough. without kids. you can spend those extra 500$ (per 3 kids) a month on something good.

No one said they thought it was easy to make a game by yourself, but frankly, who said Admin HAS to make this game by himself?
Is it impossible to hire anyone to help him or is it just more profitable to stay solo, push deadlines, and make excuses?
The answer is obvious when you look at this core group of fanatics who eagerly defend him regardless what happens. Even after blatantly admitting to months of "laziness" people came on here and said, "Oh well at least he's honest." "Cool, thanks for letting us know." "I love you Admin, yes in a gay way, wanna have sex with me?"
Sure, that was cute for the first month after he updated everyone, but the charm is wearing off. He runs a business; that's his choice. we don't have to be better at it than he is, we don't need to pat him on the back every time he misses a deadline, and people are NOT being mean to him by pointing out problems.
$100 for a single gun in a video game! Try to explain that to anyone that isn't an insane fanboy and they would laugh hysterically at you. That's not complaining, that's just the truth. If you walked into my store and I said it costs $100 for a can of soda, would you buy it or would you keep your mouth shut and simply walk out?

ADMIN!!!! This spider mission where you have to find the 10 blood samples is STILL broke as F*CK. There is way too much agro to do anything, much less loot a spider corpse. Fix this unbalanced crap please. rest of the missions were just fine for me, this is the only one that i cant complete.

ReplyDeleteAnd about this $100 vulcan. You know $100 is 12.5 peoples monthly GM righ? So 12.5 people get their 200 credits a month and sell then on the market. Somebody who has been looting and saved up enough money to buy those credits then does so. That player then buys a vulcan with those credits. The vulcan has cost that person nothing and all they had to do to earn it is have fun playing the game. The 12.5 people who paid real cash for that persons vulcan surely bought lots of nice things with the cash from selling the credits and got all the perks of GM.

But instead of the ussual screen, I see all the game screen in black only with the legend "Congratulations, your player has gained a level! You must now spend your free points below", but I can't see nothing!
I tried re-entering the web, re-opening the browser, but nothing happens, the game shows me nothing but this black background and this legend.
I hope someone read me and can help me.
